The Mirfield Free Grammar

Overview

The Mirfield Free Grammar and Sixth Form is proud to present an exciting new sports facility  for the students and local residents.

As the building fast approaches completion, plans are in place for a new community sports facility and gym.

This impressive new building includes a dance studio, gym, classroom and changing facilities.

Networking

Topological Limited have worked in partnership with The Mirfield Free Grammar & Sixth Form for many years.

During the design stage the requirements were considered carefully and integrated into the building schedules.

The networking elements include fibre optic and telephony backbone cables, network sockets throughout the building, HP switches and wireless technology.

Network Technologies

The fibre optic cable was selected to support a potential future expansion of the existing 10 Gigabit Ethernet backbone.

The network sockets were fitted to deliver connectivity within the teaching areas and offices, with distributed high level outlets for wireless or CCTV.

The Mirfield Free Grammar & Sixth Form is benefiting from the HP managed high speed wireless network (dual radio 802.11n AP with a throughput of up to 600 Mbps), that delivers greater performance and flexibility.
